Wheels/tyres for '29 Model A

I wonder if anyone can help me? I'm currently building a Rodline 29 Model A delivery. I'm looking to borrow, I know that's a horrible word!, some wheels/ tyres to see how they look on the car. They will be mounted on Capri/Cortina four stud hubs and I'm thinking 17" rears and 15" fronts. Can anyone help me? They won't be driven, simply fitted to see how they fill the arches, since I've no idea about offset etc. The car's in Dundee, so local to there would be handy.

Chassis Plate

I'm getting a replacement chassis plate for the midget I'm building as I've lost the old one. However, the supplier won't stamp it. Any idea where I can get the plate stamped with the VIN, preferably within easy travelling of Broxburn?

parts relay Travelling to Nuneaton to Deliver Z Van & retun trip

within the next week or so I am delivering my Morris Z van to Nuneaton from Laurencekirk, I have an empty pickup on the way down and a little space on the trailer.

Not looking to add to many miles to my trip but give me a shout if you have anything needs shifted.

On the return Journey I have an empty 16ft flat bed trailer and pickup.

I may take in Sheffield steel city meet either on the way down or back, could also do the M6 on one leg of the journey

Anyone know how to trace a reg number to see if it's still registered or taxed?
Trying to find out if my old Escort is still on the go.

Had a look on DVLA but couldn't see anything obvious.

As the title says, after Calum's 'Mini' thread (and mine and others' personal views in it), I thought this would be a question that ought to be explored. I know there are other forums out there that have explored this to death but i think this forum has a unique enough cross-section to be an interesting question.

Keep it civilised, no personal attacks, the object is not to alienate any members, all opinions are valid, but, they are just opinions! Lets have an interesting, light hearted discussion about it?

I'll start it with the Oxford English Dictionary's description...

hot rod

noun

a motor vehicle that has been specially modified to give it extra power and speed

verb

(hot-rod)(hot-rods, hot-rodding, hot-rodded)

1 [with object] modify (a vehicle or other device) to make it faster or more powerful
2 [no object] drive a hot rod

Police driver can handle any car... year, right...
