We have a bus in for repair in the workshop at the moment, with fire damage.
As such, all the interior panels, trim and seats have to be removed because of the smoke damage.
Lifted the very last seat today, near the end of the shift and some tosser had left an open syringe tucked down the seat ! It went straight through my heavy welding gauntlets and stuck in the end of my finger !
Almost three hours in casualty, they must have took most of my blood by the feel of it and then a stonking big jag on my arse to finish off with !!!
Makes you wonder what goes through some peoples minds ?
Still, on the brighter side, I can tell the missus there is no nookie for 3 months, that will cheer her up !

Dirty junkie ba****ds
Just 'cause they get smacked out of their skulls it's doesn't give them the right to be unhygienic.
If it's any consolation Alan it sounds like an old needle so the chances of catching anything from it are next to nothing. I wouldn't worry about it if i were you :)

Aye Andy,
The bus has been in for around six weeks now awaiting Insurance clearance, so it should all be fine. Normally take great care removing bus seats as you get allsorts down there.
We had a very full, very smelly kids nappy stuffed down the back seat a few weeks back !! Apprentice got that one !! ;)
Alan...........
mindless little tossers. you have to be on
your guard all the time. we got them all the
time when doing police recovery work
you had to have eyes in your arse
junkie bxxxxds would steal a motor and leave
all sorts of stuff in them.
hope every thing's fine for you & not to long

Such is society nowadays - I'm sure I don't have to tell you there's folks out there who don't give a s**t about anyone or anything, but its a real wake-up call when you end up suffering through their ignorance - hope all goes well for ya.
When I was a fireman in Easterhouse in Glasgow we had to check the fire hydrant pits, even if the fire was roaring out the windows for needles. The little b's even stuck them on the underside of the lids so we would stick ourselves when we lifted the lids off!

Public transport eh? Check this out...
Subject: The London Underground
If you are a regular traveller on the London Underground, here are some
facts which you are going to wish you hadn't read.
During Autumn of 2000, a team of scientists at the Department of
Forensics at University College London removed a row of passenger seats
from a Central Line tube carriage for analysis into cleanliness. Despite
London Underground's claim that the interior of their trains are cleaned
on a regular basis, the scientists made some alarming discoveries. The
analysis was broken down. This is what was found on the surface of the
seats:
4 types of hair sample (human, mouse, rat, dog),
7 types of insect (mostly fleas, mostly alive),
vomit originating from at least 9 separate people,
human urine originating from at least 4 separate people,
human excrement,
rodent excrement,
human semen!
When the seats were taken apart, they found:
the remains of 6 mice
the remains of 2 large rats
1 previously unheard of fungus
It is estimated that by holding one of the armrests, you are
transferring, to your body, the natural oils and sweat from as many as
400 different people.
It is estimated that it is generally healthier to smoke five cigarettes
a day than to travel for one hour a day on the London Underground.
It is far more hygienic to wipe your hand on the inside of a recently
flushed public toilet bowl before eating, than to wipe your hand on a London
Underground seat before eating.
It is estimated that, within London, more work sick-days are taken
because of bugs picked up whilst travelling on the London Underground
than for any other reason (including alcohol).
