Andy,

Took it down first with P400 on the Orbital sander, and then finished off with 800 wet and dry, wet with a little soap by hand! (sore bit):(

Got one of those 3 stage polishing kits from Halfrauds, the rough, medium and smooth cloth wheel thingys. Used Farecla Machine Glaze with them.

It took about 2 hours every night, mon to fri, but you could spend double that and get it shiny enough to shave off !!

Final stage still to be done, and been advised to use a tube of Autosol.
Will do that this sunday and shove up another photo.

The wheels really dont do all the nooks and corners tho.
Its not a mirror finish all over, but still a wee bit tidier than it was.:)

If it hadnt been off to fit the new injectors, it would still not be done !

Injectors should be here mid-week from the states, much, much cheaper than buying them here.

Good job! Autosol is very good but an alternative is Belgom ALU, which is also very good, that's what i use on my chrome side pipes.

Just a query here, does Autosol protect as well as polish, like a kind of coating ??

Alan.
