Had a long early start drive up to Fraserburgh today.
Passing through Tayside on the A90 near Kirriemuir the police were setting up cones and things to pull vehicles over into large lay by on the northbound side. There was a bike and a Volvo estate plus a large Command Unit van thing.
On the way home, approaching the area southbound I could see on the other side lots of police vehicles and activity. This was about five to six hours after them setting up in the morning. Not just trucks pulled over, but cars too.
Carried on a bit and saw blue and red lights in layby on my side (southbound). Various fluorescent signs and jackets plus a flatbed. As I got closer, I realised that there was a police Volvo (Tayside obviously like their V70's) and a pickup with a smaller trailer.
As I passed there was a large bright yellow sticker on the back window of the pickup with 'SEIZED BY POLICE' written on it.
I looked over my shoulder and it was a dark blue, long wheelbase, probably non crew cab Dodge Ram.
Walking home methinks.
On the upside, between Ellon and Aberdeen on the way up a nice blue 66/67 Pontiac LeMans convertible with white roof passed me going the other way. Looked great in the sunshine.
And blow me if we didn't pass in almost exactly the same spot four hours later, me heading south, him north.
Nice looking car. I used to have a '67 LeMans.
