Anyone going?
I'll be there - weather permitting to run up the strip against the old Fords - and hopefully beat them.
However, last time I was there, not one of them lined up against me;) so had to race the modern stuff.
I'll be there early doors to get some runs in before the rush.

I'm sure gates open at 10 - I aim to be there just after. However, weather forecast is bad, so we'll wait and see what the day brings. No point racing in the wet - get plenty sideways action though.

Well, so much for optomism, It's now pouring with rain, and no sign of a let up. Forecast for the week is the same.
No point in going in this weather - next time - will spring come soon?

Went eventually and guess what? weather was largely dry, and it wasn't busy, so got 13 runs in. I was beaten I think 4 times, and won the rest - best time was a 14.93 at 92. Unfortunately, I'm now spinning the wheels for a fair bit at the start, but I'm pleased with the performance. Was only beaten off line once - I was sleeping.

If you know which tyre is spinning (or both!) then try letting the spinning tyre(s) down by 2psi a time until it stops, that usually works.

Was going to do this, but forgot my footpump :(. Standard practice for drag racing my bike (along with warming the tyres), and does work.
My car has a power lock diff, so both tyres were spinning. It does need a bit more power top end, as It's just a standard 3.9 engine with an edelbrock carb so tails off a bit higher up. A cam, some head mods and NOS should sort it, but I'm better spending my dosh on my other Minor with LS1 power.
Was a good day out though.
