I was insured with a company called Diamond Insurance Services (not the one off the telly) for the past 4 or 5 years they were pretty reasonable with American car insurance. Flux wanted £1300 for the 'vette whilst Diamond were only £350 last time.

Am currently with Flux but am looking to change at renewal. Just goes to show it pays to shop. Also don't forget to mention if your in a car club whether local or national as you usually get some kind of discount.

Is it worthwhile adding a section to the links section where you can add links/telephone numbers of your recommended yank and rod friendly insurance companies?
Hi all,
Thanks for all the messages & info.
I left details with all the ones mentioned and some others i found.
I went with Equity Redstar through RH Specialist Insurance Division for £153 fully comp! Which i thought was not bad :D
Their number is 01277 206911

Just thought I'd add some news to this subject. Have just insured the Transam again seeing it's MOT'd for the summer shows. Called Adrian Flux - £239 or £271 if paying monthly. Road Sure came in at £279.
Called MCE insurance today - £199 or £231 if paying by monthly installments. Goes to show that it pays to shop around. ;)

I just recently insured the 'vette too. Did lots of phoning round but the best deal was with Hagerty through my original insurer, Diamond Insurance Services. 1500 miles per year, agreed value at £9000, premium is £140.
