As we all know, we`re here because we drive something a bit dfferent.

The attention is good but sometimes the attention attracted isn`t always good. THREE times recently I`ve had to drive to my mates house in a cul de sac to `lose` the baseball cap wearing fud following me around. Today it was a battered Corsa with tints, neons and drainpipe exhaust.
Sitting behind me revving the $hit out of their cars. I know they`re young and that but fcuk sake it`s getting endless now. I just think one of these times their foot will slip from the clutch and rear end me.
My fear is I`ll then go into terminator mode and wreck stuff.

Am I over reacting? :o

Always an idea but tyres are £300 a pop

I suppose If I was 18 I`d be no different. Just can`t be arsed with racing a 1.6L Astra with a picnic table spoiler and a John Rambo bodykit thats `running 300 brake`.

Know how you must feel Brian, that sucks. :( Although thankfully I haven't had anyone follow me like that too much.
I've mostly had good encounters and had a few "rev-offs" at the lights with 4 pot hatches, most of those guys are
actually quite sound about it and they grin and give you the thumbs up!
Had a side by side rev match in the Monte Carlo with a Ferrari F430 up past Picardy roundabout in centre of Edinburgh
last year - that was awesome! :D:worship:

A rev off? :D

That would be a `breach of the peace` down here. Police are murder.

I never really knew the Corsa drivers actually like hot rods! :D I wouldn't be too worried about them - a lot of Fiestas and Pugs with 747 wings and 17" rims come to KFC during the cruises and so far none of them crashed into any of the hot rods. They always seem to be very embarrassed when they drive around there with their girlfriends, perhaps they regret spending 5 grand on a bodykit instead of buying a decent car :D

I bought a set of 225 x 60 x 15 tyres off ebay before the last cruise of the year in '09.

They covered approximately 15 miles before they looked like this,

In fact, the rubber on my wheel arches was actually the biggest hazard when I was welding them up recently !!

However, I think if it comes to tyre top trumps, we all know who's gonna win that one, don't we Leeroy !

I had one boy in his wee hatchback pull alongside me and ask if I was a 'dyke' (his word), jealously is a wonderful thing! Then you get the lads that ask if you will be their girlfriend! Always makes me laugh!

That could not have been a serious question, unless he thought you were gonna f@+k him at the lights. :D

Haha, he did seem quite sincere! Maybe he was just confused cos he was expecting to see a bloke driving and that's the first thing the came to his mind!!
