Ran this by a Rover Fan on another forum for you, and he reckons, if you have the loom that came with the Rover engine, its easy !

Here goes !!!:p

Right the injection loom is pretty easy and self explanatory, it is basically complete for the entire injection system and you have very few pick up wires.

There is one multiplug that should have 5 wires, it may have seven, but you only need 5

White is your ignition pick up. This is needing to be live when the ignition is turned to run.

Black is obvious and earth

brown and purple is live to fuel pump

brown is permenant live to the main relay

white and black is your negative ignition timing pick up (from coil)

That should be it.

On the distributor there should only be white which again is ignition live
and white and black which is to your tacho and pick up for injection system.

Starter should be white and red for engaging.

That should have you basically wired to go if you have your main (brown) power cables sorted to the starter/alternator

If you have any probs, get some pics of the problem areas and post them up here.

Any help mate ??
