A mate in Arbroath is having issues with his 07 V6 Mustang. He keeps getting fault codes coming up that are easliy cleared and if were true, he would notice it in the way it runs etc.
He has been mucked about by the garage he took it to. They didnt even know how to do running checks on lambda's or the ohms check, they even removed the rocker covers telling him it had jumped a tooth, untill they realised it can 3 chains !
My mechanic mate from "dan sarf" has been speaking to the garage, which took 2 weeks just to get someone to speak to him, they admitted they didnt really know what they were doing when it comes to diagnostics.
I told him to get an emissions report via an MOT staion so it could be checked against my mates car (he has a V6 & a V8) and the values have turned out to be about the same.
Can anyone recommend a garage in the Dundee or Arbroath area who knows how to run their diagnostics software properly and maybe help him out?
My mate can help him out if we get the right info out of it but we need someone who knows how to use the diagnostics stuff first and understands what is needed.
I have suggested taking it to Dreadnought in Callander as Claire would sort him out (or the car even) if no-one local can do it.
