I know a few guys on here work in the oil and gas industry offshore.
I'm wondering how easy it is to get into the computer / network / server support side of things ?

My job is starting to get really boring and I'm starting to get itchy feet. Need a new challenge. More money would help too :D

Anyone help?

Hi BossHogg

I don't think there's much call for IT support offshore much nowadays as the IT guys on the beach can do remote access and fiddle with things from there. However, you should send your CV to the likes of Petrofac (who I work for), Woodgroup, AMEC, among others. Tell them your experience as I know there is quite a high turnover of guys in all areas of IT within our industry.

I go back offshore on Thursday so I'll ask our IT guy what the script is.
