I've been following a thread on the rodsnsods site about Morris Minors. I posted a reply to one on Astral Traveller - a V8 Minor build in Finavon by George Watt and Dunc Wood (prolific modifiers). I was asked if I knew what happened to it, but I really don't know after about 1977/8?. All I recall is that it ended up in Keith (owned by a hotelier), then disappeared without trace. I have tried to purchase it on 2 occasions without success. I believe it did surface in the Inverness area, and had heard it was broken for spares.
This car won many awards in the early 70's and was the inspiration for a lot of Minor owners, myself included.
Anyone know?
Pete

I initially thought about it, but nostalgia isn't what it used to be:) A bit like seeing the hottest girl from your schooldays 30 years later and she looks like Jo Brand.
I've been speaking to a guy who has been chasing it for years, and he said that he would have given anything to own it, but having seen the pics he's decided not to.
Having said all that, it must be worth around £1k for parts alone. It was a really good shell, but certainly not enhanced with sitting around and having a sun roof fitted.

Well done Pete!

I look forward to the tales!
