I'm not into Ha***ys in any way (honda's for me:)), but my brother is. He has purchased the derelict cottage in Aberlemno that the Davidsons left from to go to America, and is attempting to turn it into a heritage centre (Planners in Angus have massively held him up).
He is off to the Harley Davidson HQ next month to meet up with Willie G and the rest of the Davidson clan to discuss support for the project.
He has a website under construction at present if you want to see more.

What a great idea, hope your brother gets it off the ground. It gets right on my nipple ends the small time attitude councillors here have to ideas like this. The Birthplace of the Saltire at Athelstaneford is the same....it's run on a shoestring by people who really care about it. Americans would have invested in a huge purpose built building for their flag but ours is housed in an old doocot!

It's not the councellors that are the problem - they are keen, and he has got funding for the trip to the States from them. It's the planners putting obstacles in his way - he has already complained to John Swinney, who wrote to the planners, but they just please themselves anyway.
I'll keep you posted.
