After a request from one of our moderators, i've modified the CSS sheets in a new theme so the forum will have default white text in a larger font for those users who find it difficult to read the threads.
To use this style, select the 'Easy Read' style from the new menu in the bottom left hand corner of the page.
If you do struggle to read the forum and find the Easy Read style easier to read, you can also select it as your deafult style. Simply go to 'User Control Panel' in the 'Forum Tools' menu at the top of the page. Select 'Edit Options' from the menu on the left. Scroll down to the second box from the bottom entitled 'Forum Skin' and select 'Easy Read' from the menu, then click the 'Save Changes' button at the bottom.
To change back, just do the same procedure but select 'X-Members' from the menu.
Hope this helps, if anyone wants any changes to it let me know, and i'll work out if it's possible :D

Havn't had a chance to speak to the member who mentioned that he had problems reading the forum, when I do I'll let you know, I notice in the gallery when in "easy read" its not easy to read the script in the blue header bars as the script goes light grey.
How hard would it be to "invert" the forum for black text on white background?
Thanks again for puting the effort into this Andy, for what may be after all, only one member :worship:

I'll look into that, i'm not sure what css class it is but i can find out from the source code. Changing that class may affect other text tho, i probably changed whatever class it is for a reason.

That could be doable too, although i'm not sure what sure what affect it would have on other areas of the forum, do you mean the entire forum on a white background not just the postbit? That really wouldn't look great and mean redesigning a new logo etc. We could allow users to select the default forum theme (like the first incarnation of the site), that has a white background just like this (http://www.urban75.net/vbulletin/)but i've done a lot of editing to the internal templates since then and have lost track of what i've edited...:o

No problem, if i can help just one member, that's made my day...
