View Full Version : Do you listen to different music in different cars?
Just wondering, because i was thinking of the jukebox thread, and I listen to different music in Tex, who's big, slow, comfy and relaxing to what I used to listen to in my old Mercury which was a totally different type of car.
In the volvo I just listen to the radio.
Does the car influence what you listen to, or does it depend on your mood?
Just curious :)

Think your correct, i have Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and the Beach Boys for the T-Bird. My CD player in the T-Bird jumps and skips a bit, but i've never bother to change it as i think it's fun and adds character, also gives the feel that there is a record player under the chair and not a CD player. ;)

in the escort, just the radio.
the speakers are so crap i can barely hear anything anyway.
coog ?
i have the radio on, but half the time i'm not paying much attention to it, i'm either listening to the engine noise, or fighting to keep it on the road !!
i tend to just make up a random mp3 disc, or memory card and play it until i'm bored with it !!
somehow blondie always sounds good in coog tho.
strangely, although i love music so much, it's only ever really background music in the car. if i'm lost, or frustrated, i tend to find it annoying !!
depends on how bumpy the roads are
the cd player jumps like mad so mostly listen
to the radio

Surprised you can hear anything above your blower whine:)
Some songs you could listen to though.
Red red whine
little old whine drinker me
Me and my Whine
Kisses sweater than whine
:o Sorry Ill get my coat
you actually CAN hear the music from andy's car! the interesting thing about the Model A is that the blower whine is heard only when you're in front of it. when you're behind it or inside it, it's just pure V8 :D
i listen to my own compilations of blues, rock and power ballads no matter what the car, as long as it has a CD player :D

In the Zaffy I am mostly listening to Audioslave or Alex Harvey, my T doesn't have sounds other than the carb and the door handle falling off onto the floor!
Radio 4 in the Astra.... bof
The other cars may look as though they had radios but none worked.
In Linda's Monaco we had the radio fixed, but it is only MW and, hurrah, you still get the crackles when you pass near power lines .... bof
